I tried the fajitas on this visit. The rice and beans were great. The fajitas were also tasteful, just slightly too much onion and pepper for my liking. They give chips and salsa while you wait to order. If you are looking for Tex mex food, I recommend this place!
Decided to check this place out. So glad we did. I was craving for some good asada and found it. Place was big and clean. They were pretty busy but the wait was not long. This place can accommodate large parties. Service was a bit slower than I like but it made up for it with our meals. Pricing isn't bad and the portions are decent. Parking can be tight so recommend going slightly off hours. Definitely one of our favorites now and will absolutely go back when we crave Mexican food!
I've tried every Mexican place in town over the last ten years and El Carrizo is by far my favorite. The food is delicious, service is always fast and friendly, and it's a great place to meet up with friends/family after work or on a weekend. We've tried a variety of menu items now and the chicken and shrimp fajitas are a family favorite followed by the beef tacos. Queso is a must and the margaritas are delicious! If you are trying to decide where to grab Mexican food in Columbus try El Carrizo. You will not be disappointed.
